How to Start Your Custom Teamwear Project: Step 1 — From Inspiration to a Quote
Learn how to turn reference images or AI concepts into a workable teamwear design, what details to prepare, and how design complexity and quantity shape your quote.

Your custom teamwear project starts with an idea. You do not need a professional design file to get the conversation started. A reference image, a collection of inspiration photos, or an AI-generated concept can all help us understand what you have in mind.
Start with inspiration—and tell us what you like
Some customers come to us with one clear reference and a few changes in mind. Others share several images, combining ideas for necklines, sleeves, color placement, and decorative details into a direction that reflects their team.
When sharing multiple references, explain what you like about each one. For example: “We like the neckline in the first image and the sleeves in the second, but we want to use our team’s purple and black.”
Specific notes help us understand your priorities and reduce unnecessary revisions. The references give us a starting point for developing a design around your team’s identity.
AI-generated designs still need a production review
We are seeing more customers use AI tools to visualize their ideas. These images can communicate a detailed concept, sometimes one that already looks finished.
However, a polished image is not necessarily a production-ready design.
An AI concept may combine too many panels, decorative elements, or intricate rhinestone details. Some features may be difficult to produce; others may be achievable but increase the cost and production time.
AI can also overlook how a garment is constructed. For example, the front and back may show necklines, lengths, or panel placements that do not connect properly. A skirt may have pleats or sections that do not form a workable structure.
The front and back do not need to look identical, but they do need to work together as one garment. That is why an AI image is best treated as a starting point for design development, with its construction details reviewed before production.
Turn the concept into a clear, workable design
Once we receive your references, our designers can redraw and refine the concept as needed. This means keeping the elements you love, adjusting impractical features, and clarifying the details.
Together, we work through:
- The garment silhouette and front and back views;
- Team colors and their placement;
- The size and position of your team name and logo;
- Lettering styles and outlines;
- Rhinestone patterns, placement, and density;
- Details that should be added, simplified, or adjusted.
The aim is to develop a design that represents your team and can be made in practice. Features that may significantly affect cost or production time should also be discussed during this stage.
Share your quantity so we can prepare a quote
Once the design details are clear, we need to know how many pieces or sets you plan to order. If your team numbers are not final, an estimated quantity is a useful starting point for an initial quote.
Every custom project is different. Pricing depends on the design, the complexity of the work involved, and the order quantity.
Larger orders generally offer more room for a lower unit price, but the final quote is based on your confirmed design, specifications, and quantity. Changes to these details may also affect the price.
